Holly Molly, I love how Colin spells. And by "spells" I mean "misspells everything in an awesome fashion."

Loosely based on current events...

The idea for today's strip was inspired by Melanie singing non-stop in the car today... Colin and I are both in agreement that she would be much more lovable if she came equipped with a "mute" button!

The kids were out of school yesterday, so we had a lovely visit to the Martin Luther King National Historic Site in Atlanta, and then had a late lunch at The Flying Biscuit in Decatur. The idea for today's column was hatched during that lunch.

Part of what got Colin interested in drawing funny comics is his homework at school, which has often included an option to draw a picture to illustrate his vocabulary words. The bottom illustration on tonight's homework (with the "bad gie" -- get it? bad guy -- and the superhero) is a good example.
