He's got his daddy's back

So the cartoon drawing has been a little bit on the slow side around here lately, with the holidays and other busy-ness. Our artist got a cartoon-drawing book for Christmas, so maybe it will inspire some new artwork. At any rate, I thought you might enjoy a little anecdote from today. Both kids had preliminary appointments at the orthodontist, to make some plans for care. His younger sister has some significant bite issues, due to her finger sucking, and the doctor gave her a thorough exam before stopping to say "Well, if she were my daughter..." then he took a slight pause at which point Colin retorted, "I think my dad would have something to say about that."

Concentrating on the important things...

I scanned this as a PDF instead of a JPEG, so you'll have to click through to read it, but here's the thank-you that Colin wrote to our babysitter who gave him a nerf sword for Christmas (she had spotted it on his list... how sweet is that??). Always good to have tools to keep your sister at bay.

In search of that arch-villain, DIAPER MAN!

Colin has weekly homework where he has to write a short-story incorporating vocabulary words. This week's words include glisten, eroding, and weary. NOT DIAPER MAN IN HIS LAIR!

So you think you can dance?

Holly Molly, I love how Colin spells. And by "spells" I mean "misspells everything in an awesome fashion."

Loosely based on current events...

The idea for today's strip was inspired by Melanie singing non-stop in the car today... Colin and I are both in agreement that she would be much more lovable if she came equipped with a "mute" button!
